The Galore Creek project is located in northwestern British Columbia, Canada, within Tahltan Nation territory. It is 370 kilometres northwest of the town of Smithers, 150 kilometres northwest of the Port of Stewart, and approximately 70 kilometres west of the Bob Quinn airstrip. Additionally, the project site is located 60 kilometers south of Telegraph Creek, 110 kilometers southwest of Dease Lake and 70 kilometers west-southwest of Iskut, all of which are Tahltan Nation communities.
Road access to the project area is via Stewart-Cassiar Highway, Highway 37. A mine access road from Highway 37 to the project site has been partially constructed. As contemplated in the 2011 Prefeasibility Study, the access road will be used to transport employees to and from the mine and plant sites, and to deliver mine equipment and mine operating consumables.
