The Galore Creek Project

Galore Creek is working to advance one of the world’s largest undeveloped copper-gold-silver deposits in NW British Columbia. We are currently undertaking an updated Prefeasibility Study, including ongoing environmental baseline studies, and optimization of Project design.

Our team is committed to developing the Project at the highest standards in safety, environmental stewardship, and in close collaboration with Tahltan Nation and local communities.

Sustainability

Galore Creek is committed to responsible resource development. We focus on health and safety and valuing people to build a strong foundation for the work we do. Our view of sustainability includes building strong relationships with communities and Indigenous Peoples, taking an industry-leading approach to water and environmental stewardship, and adapting to the physical impacts of climate change to build a resilient and safe project.

Our Sustainability Strategy sets long-term objectives to drive continuous improvement at all levels of the organization.

Health & Safety
We train and build awareness across all of the employees and contractors by promoting an active safety culture, holding safety as a core value, and remaining focused on ensuring that everyone goes home safe and healthy.
People
We work to attract, invest in, and retain employees to join us in the exciting work of advancing and developing the Galore Creek mine.
Communities & Indigenous
In our operations and through our relationships, we seek to advance reconciliation and provide opportunities to create lasting benefits and support community wellbeing.
Environmental Stewardship
We integrate environmental stewardship into Project development by designing environmental management systems that ensure consistent implementation and that are effective at protecting our environment.
Water Stewardship
Our approach to water stewardship is based on three pillars: protecting water quality, improving water management practices, and engaging collaboratively within our watersheds.
Climate Change
We are committed to actively pursue options for lowering emissions and understand and manage the incremental risks and opportunities from the physical impacts of climate change.

Communities

At Galore Creek we are committed to helping build vibrant and healthy communities by listening with intent, respecting rights, and empowering individuals by creating mutual benefits through Project development. We hold ourselves and the Project to a high standard as proud members of the communities we live and work in.

We collaborate and partner with communities and Indigenous Peoples with an interest in our Project so that we achieve and maintain the standards expected of world-class project developers.
